Welcome to ABC Children's Center!

ABC Children's Center has been passionately caring for children since 1993. At ABC, we understand that choosing a childcare center is one of the most important and difficult decisions a parent makes. Daycare centers, like people, have different personalities and each family faces the task of finding the one that is most compatible with their needs, values and goals for their children. Our hope is that you will get to know ABC's personality a little as you explore our site! Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to schedule a personal tour.

Our Program

ABC's program is based on the belief that children are always learning. Whether they are being rocked to sleep, singing a song at circle time or being soothed after a fall, they are learning. Our goal is to ensure that they are learning that the world is safe, kind and full of wonder when they are with us! We believe that if children form trusting relationships with loving caregivers and are exposed to a variety of fun and enriching experiences, they will thrive!

An important element of effective nurturing is to give children a solid academic and social/emotional foundation. Having years of experience, ABC has developed our own curriculum which fulfills the Early Learning Standards for curriculum content.
Our program includes literacy and language arts components and encourages inquiry and exploration through application of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) concepts and activities.  Bible-based values, stories, songs and  activities are also a part of our curriculum.
A new addition to ABC's preschool program is PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies), a social and emotional learning curriculum.  SEL helps children resolve conflicts peacefully, handle emotions positively, empathize, and make responsible decisions.  In an article published in Science magazine, the PATHS program has been proven to help build executive functions (EFs) in children's developing brains.  EFs include impulse control, problem solving, reasoning, planning and working memory.  These skills are proven predictors of math and reading competence throughout a child's school career.  For more information about PATHS go to:
Teachers have access to a wide variety of materials and resources to supplement the curriculum and to enrich the development of the children they care for. These materials are selected to encourage cognitive and social development, increase cultural awareness, enhance fine and gross motor skills and to inspire imaginative, creative play.
